Statewide Renewable Fuels Training

Existing and upcoming ethanol plants need trained and educated workers.  This site is intended to provide information about training opportunities in Nebraska through the Ethanol Training Production and Management Project.

Ethanol continues to play an important role in the American energy scene.  The ethanol industry has doubled its annual production capacity in the last five years. Production demands will top 36 billion gallons by 2022 to meet federal standards. Hardworking people are key to ethanol’s success. Nationally, Nebraska ranks second in ethanol production, and is the largest ethanol producer west of the Missouri River.

Educational programs that offer curriculum and equipment approved by the ethanol industry, have been and are being developed by project partners. Ethanol related training programs are or will soon be available at all of Nebraska’s community colleges.  Many courses will be offered online.  If you are interested in working in a biotech field and want to learn more about ethanol/renewable fuels training opportunities, you are at the right place.

Whether you are looking for training opportunities for yourself, your company, or are just interested in the exciting field of ethanol production, we are happy to offer the courses and information you need to get involved in the field of ethanol.
